We are now in our fourth year and the largest UK low cost online estate agent. Our founder is Russell Quirk, a former High Street estate agency boss that started in the industry in 1984, running five branch offices between 1999 and 2009. Russell moved on to launch eMoov.co.uk in response to changes in the industry: 95% of property searches now take place on the internet.

The Quirk family has a long history as property estate agents. Russell’s grandfather Albert Quirk opened his first estate agency in 1957. His business, Quirk & Partners, grew into a highly respected and sizeable company during the 70s & 80s with offices in many locations.

Albert was a pioneer. He was a community man and a local councillor. He had bold ideas and was quite the people person, so he took the very brave step, to ‘go it alone’. Back then the independent estate agency firm was a rarity.

It’s funny how things go full circle...
