WHICH published a report two days ago after investigating High Street estate agents fees.
They found, after speaking to 48 firms, that commissions varied hugely with some agents, particularly in London and the North, charging up to 3.5% of the sale price!
Are they worth it? Not according to the Office of Fair Trading that has recently stated that home sellers should look to online estate agents, like eMoov.co.uk, in order to slash the cost of moving home by £thousands.

We’ve SOLD a great value shared ownership apartment in Scholars Walk, Cambridge today.
It’s been on the market with us for four weeks and we have arranged four viewings and have had two offers to purchase it.
The owner, Mr Oliver, having paid eMoov just £349.00 to sell his property, has saved £1200.00 in estate agents fees.
Or he could have given it to a High Street agent. Or just thrown it in the bin… Same thing.
