In 1957, chartered surveyor Albert F. Quirk dreamed of owning an independent estate agency offering consumers exceptional customer service and excellent value for money. His dream soon materialised as he opened the doors of his first estate agency branch in London later that same year.
At the time, the large corporate estate agents had a stranglehold on the sector. It was commonly thought that there was no room for an independent family owned estate agent to survive in such a climate. People told Albert he was crazy. Yet the business went on to prosper hugely.

On the surface, things were quite different back then. The smoke filled estate agency offices of the late 1950’s were crammed with typewriters, filing cabinets and ashtrays.
