Reasons to love Greenwich
Estate Agents in Greenwich
Looking for an Estate Agent in Greenwich? Emoov can sell your property. Greenwich is a London district which lies along the South Bank of the River Thames, with a population of around 30,500.
Culture in Greenwich
Greenwich is one of South East London's gems, both a royal borough and home of the world famous Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The town centre, with its older, villagey feel is sublime, with the Greenwich Market proving a popular place for visitors to find interesting goods and culinary delights at the various street food stalls. Greenwich is also home to the O2, a state-of-the-art arena which is known for hosting some of the globe's biggest music and entertainment stars.
Things to do in Greenwich
Greenwich Park is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, and is one of eight royal parks in the capital. It has its own playground, children’s row pond, a deer reserve and some breath-taking views of Canary Wharf. Greenwich is also home to the iconic Cutty Sark, where visitors can venture both underneath and aboard the stunning sailing ship, exploring the ship's 144 year history.
Student life in Greenwich
Greenwich is home to a thriving student community thanks to the brilliant Greenwich University which replaced the old Royal Naval College. With three campuses and a student population of over 23,000, it’s extremely popular. Students choose to study here in their droves as the surrounding area is packed full of gorgeous open spaces, and the bright lights of Central London and the world-famous 02 Arena aren’t far away.
Buying in Greenwich
Greenwich mostly attracts younger people working in Canary Wharf or the city, as Central London is easily accessible via the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The demographic of property buyers here, however, is a little more varied than other London locations. More families are coming to Greenwich as a result of the £20m that was invested in regenerating the area for the 2012 London Olympics. This regeneration has meant that house prices have risen.
