The Cliffs Pavilion and also The Royal Pavilion both host a number of great shows and events throughout the year.

Things to do in Southend

Southend has seven miles of seafront and offers a great range of attractions for the entire family. Adventure Island fun park and Sea-Life Adventure Aquarium are just two of the town's most popular places to visit. Adventure Island has a massive 60 rides and attractions, including the infamous ride 'Rage' which has a terrifying 75ft drop and a 360 degree barrel roll. The park's newest addition is 'Adventure Inside', which is a fantastic indoor centre boasting a range of rides and arcade games, as well as plenty of naughty seaside grub! For an inexpensive day out, however, simply enjoy a stroll and an ice cream and take advantage of Southend's famous beaches. The town also offers a number of great hotels for families to stay in along the seafront and has a whole host of shops and a lively night-life.

The University of Essex has a campus in Southend. The campus is modern and vibrant and houses the University's School of Health and Human Sciences. It is a town campus, meaning you will never be far from the many pubs and restaurants Southend town centre has to offer and is of course only a stone's throw away from the gorgeous seafront!
