Yes, we’re going on about it a bit but for good reason.

The most recent retail spending figures from the Office of National Statistics were announced today and show a decline of 0.4% in November compared to October.

But… within the report there are telling trends that once again cement the reality of consumer behaviour.

In October, the average weekly ONLINE spend was £546.4 million. In November it had rocketed to a £787.9 million, an increase of FORT FOUR PERCENT! Year on year, eCommerce  has attracted 20% more custom.

As Laura Kuenssberg, the ITV Business Editor, says on her blog today, ‘Perhaps the move to online should be jut as much of a worry for those traditional retailers who arent’t moving with the times…’.

There’s an estate agency parallel there rather.
