Having just exchanged contracts on the sale of a £3.2m house in Belsize Park, London NW3 this week, we can officially say this…

Our biggest fee saving ever is a whopping £76,200!

Pretty impressive eh?

Foxtons, London’s expensive estate agent, quoted the owner a staggering 2% plus vat. That’s £64,000 and then vat of £12,800 on top. A total imposition of £76,800.

The owner decided that such a figure was impossible to justify and so turned to the UK’s fastest growing low cost online estate agent. Us!

He opted for our ‘option 2’ package at £199 plus vat in the first instance with £399 payable when sold. A rather more palatable £598.00 plus vat.

We set to work compiling sales particulars, photos and a floor plan and set the listing live on 300 property websites including Rightmove, Zoopla, FindaProperty and Prime Location. Easy peasy.

Within a week we had organised several viewings and two separate offers were made including one by a certain celebrity couple.

And so the resulting sale, now formally exchanged, has rather smashed our record for monies saved. It made no difference to our celebrity buyers which agent they viewed and pursued their prospective purchase through.

Sorry Foxtons.
