When Emoov.co.uk was initially set up in early 2010 it was always intended to launch a lettings offering in parallel with our estate agency sales product. But it’s taken a little while longer than we thought due to our core activity being so busy since!
Lettings and sales are similar enough to benefit from the same concept, that is extensive listings on all of the UK’s biggest and busiest property websites via one location that removes the expense of multiple High Street offices.
Our low cost approach to sales is now well proven. We are proud to be the largest low cost online estate agency in the UK by inventory and volume of listings. And the sector itself is growing FAST. Just a handful of online agents existed four years ago, now there are more than 40 participants and new firms are launching each week. But Emoov.co.uk commands an authoritative market share, up from 21% at the beginning of 2013 to 24% now and so despite the growing number of entrants to the online space, Emoov.co.uk are outperforming the competition on size and percentage share.
Given this firm foundation, it’s time to accelerate our online lettings service to a similar level as sales. Since January this year we have enjoyed a steady increase in lettings business entrusted to us from landlords via our lettings website at https://www.emoov.co.uk/lettings/ culminating in this month so far surpassing the total lets listed in previous months already.
We’ve recruited Rosanna Stubbs, an experienced London lettings hot shot to look after our expanding rental department. Rosanna will be in situ from Monday 23rd and is ‘very excited’ at being big part of the continuing explosion in online property via the market leader in online property.
With fees of just £249 plus vat compared to a typical lettings fee of several times that, no wonder we’re getting bigger and bigger. The question is, which will be the dominant division for Emoov.co.uk in five years time? Lettings? Sales? Or something else even….?
