If you haven’t heard of X Factor I’m not too sure where you have been for the last 11 years. However, whether or not you catch the show on the odd weekend or you’re a diehard Factor fanatic you’ll want to see where this year’s finalists are kicking it back. Brace yourselves it’s a dive- not!
Just a stone’s throw away from last year’s X Factor pad, sits this modest seven-bedroom multi-million pound mansion in Barnet’s Beech Hill. This is where the Factor finalists have been getting to know each other, relaxing and possibly doing some singing.
This glamourous new-build is in the desirable setting of Hadley Wood and is said to be home to a few famous faces. Even X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez Versini and her former husband, footballer, Ashley Cole, used to call it home.
Since the X Factor first aired, the average UK house price has increased by 35%, even if the same can’t quiet be said for the X Factor talent. Obviously this year’s X Factor house is far from average, with a property in Hadley Wood fetching £590,000, nearly £100,000 more than the London average.
It seems that the X Factor finalists are having a taste of the highlife life surrounded by their new celebrity neighbours and the house to match. In addition to its seven-bedrooms, this property brags a cinema, indoor swimming pool, sauna and huge private garden. Two years ago the house was said to have listed for £7m and this year has a monthly rental price of a staggering £20,000 a month.
Prices in London have increased by just under £50,00 over the last year, so London homeowners have enjoyed a bigger return than last year’s winner, Ben Haenow’s, career.
As the weeks go on and the competition gets tougher, these finalists will be battling it out for the winning title…and probably the house!
