Emoov CEO Russell Quirk is no stranger to public speaking and is in fact in high demand, due to his infectious mix of property knowledge, love of tech and of course natural charisma.
So when Credit Suisse, a well known global bank and financial services company, held an event with a host of leading disruptors in their respective industries, it was only natural they ask Russell to return for a second year running to talk all things property.
The exclusive event was held in London’s Soho House and Russell completed a heavyweight line-up that included Microsoft, Spotify and Scout24 to name but a few.
To kick off those in attendance were privy to the future of Microsoft’s automated tech plans and Spotify’s latest intentions to revolutionise the music business even further, before it was Russell’s turn to take the stage.
Russell spoke to an audience of companies, investors and bankers, about how Emoov, although smaller by comparison, are nothing short of mighty. He touched upon Emoov’s impressive growth within the estate agency sector to date and talked through the hurdles faced when disrupting a decaying UK property market during the early days. He was also quick to address the apparent barriers within the industry to date, but was even quicker to explain how Emoov plan to overcome these within the following years, if not months.
Finally, he naturally put the boot, well a toe, in on the high street sector and Foxtons in particular, highlighting the disparity between their fees and level of service when compared to the online sector. He then fielded questions from an engaged audience covering everything from Emoov’s future plans, a shameless investment plug and even the plight of portal On the Market.
All in a day’s work for the boss of the UK’s leading online estate agent.
Russell Quirk had this to say: “I am delighted to have been invited along to Credit Suisse once again at what seems to be a busy time for us right now having attended the NAEA London Forum as a speaker recently, Bloomberg last week and now todays event. I am always proud and delighted to impart Emoov’s expertise to the wider community.”
