Swansea Leads the Way in Adopting Online Estate Agents

Dec 16, 2016

The Welsh city of Swansea has just topped Rightmove’s list as the online estate agency capital of the United Kingdom. As a result, it is no surprise that money saving online estate agent Emoov.co.uk has been particularly successful in this area of the country.

The home of dragons, castles, rugby players, sheep and Catherine Zeta-Jones is also the home of innovation – Welsh valleys are the new Silicon Valley.

It is nothing new for Swansea to be an early adopting city. This technology pioneer was a hub during the industrial revolution because of the port for trading goods. It is also the location of the Swansea University, which is considered a top school in Wales.

As part of Swansea’s £500 million grant towards regeneration, a science and technology centre may be built to showcase large screens, an aquarium and a research facility, among other things. This further demonstrates the bond between innovation and Wale’s second largest city.

South Wales is not to be underestimated as an innovative powerhouse. It must also be noted that Scotland is not far behind Wales in its early adopting tendencies.

This recent research by Rightmove demonstrates the success of online and hybrid agents. As the sectors market share improves everywhere, it is notable that Swansea leads the way in early adoption with a colossal 18% market share, some three times the growing national average.

Evidently Swansea is predominated by sharp smart folk, who can even more clearly see the benefits of better agents at a lower cost. It is no wonder that they have been identified as a centre for digital and technology.
