The Emoov CEO, Russell Quirk, took up his regular seat with Julia Hartley-Brewer on Talk Radio alongside human rights and criminal law barrister John Cooper QC.

The hot topic of the day was a cross-party group of MPs and peers, chaired by Labour MP Chukka Umunna, calling for all immigrants to learn English before coming to the United Kingdom, or to attend a compulsory English course on arrival.

The Emoov CEO believes that it is “common sense” and raised the question “if you want to integrate and be part of the society, how can you not speak the language?”

Mr Cooper agreed that it “needs to be considered” but that “it’s a two-way street, we need to do our bit as well.”
