Our founder and CEO Russell is well known for his property expertise within the industry, regularly appearing in the print, online and broadcast media to provide comment on breaking news and research from the eMoov team.
While Russell’s foundation in the industry comes from his background in the high-street sector, he has been a pioneer of the online and hybrid model since starting eMoov back in 2010.
Since then he has committed himself to advancing the use of technology to change the face of estate agency for the better, promoting a fairer, customer focussed proposition built around a transparent fee, possible thanks to the continued evolution of PropTech.
What is PropTech?
PropTech is the beautiful partnership between property and technology and more specifically, the way in which technological advancements have helped improve and streamline the property buying and selling process, to make it easier, fairer and less expensive for the consumer.
So you can imagine how delighted Russell was to be named in the top 20 for the PropTech Powerlist 2017 by Lendinvest, along with 19 other influential figures in the PropTech space.
Russell joined some other very renowned figures within the industry to compile the list based on each individual’s contribution to the growth of PropTech, as voted for by the industry.
Russell placed 11th out of 20 and although he didn’t make the top ten, he feels honoured to have even been considered for the list in the first place.
This is a great achievement for me on a personal level and I am extremely proud to be named in such a prestigious line up of PropTech pioneers.
As competitive as I am, I’ll gladly take 11th place amongst such esteemed company and middle of the table is a welcome change and an improvement from my school days, when I was usually last chosen for anything really.
On a serious note, I would like to thank all those that voted for me and congratulate everyone that made the list and I look forward to many more years of positive disruption of the property sector via the fast-evolving PropTech movement.Russell Quirk
