2 Mill of Woodston Cottages is located in a prime, secluded location close to the village of St Cyrus. It has open outlooks over rolling farmland.
The cottage (one of two) would have been accommodation for the millers working at the nearby Mill. The property is unusual in that there are no farm buildings nearby. The house is screened from the A92 by an embankment of the old railway line.
The rear garden has a southerly aspect and is enclosed by a substantial stone wall.
The cottage has been extensively refurbished over the last five years by the seller to provide very comfortable accommodation. There is a new kitchen and bathroom, new carpets or stone/wood flooring throughout, LPG central heating (controlled by Hive) and all windows are double glazed. There is a southern facing Sunroom of traditional construction, a recently built garage and a utility room.
The cottage is situated about 1 mile north of St Cyrus, only a short walk from the coastal footpath which passes through the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve and its dramatic coastline, spectacular sandy beach and rugged cliffs.
St Cyrus has a post office, cafe, village shop, hotel and church plus an active community and hall for local events.
It is 31 miles to Aberdeen by the A92 & A90, 5 miles to Montrose with its amenities and mainline railway station.
